Uganda Children’s Centre was appreciated by the family of Besiga Shifra, a student who graduated from Kampala International University with a Diploma in Pharmacy. Shifra is a bright and genius young lady who worked so hard with determination, commitment and self-discipline, the key attributes that enabled her accomplish her journey of education.
UCC walked a long journey with Shifra right from her primary education where she demonstrated goal-oriented characters which she kept nurturing until that moment of becoming a professional pharmacist. We thank the supportive family, especially the mother, a professional teacher, who positively cooperated with UCC in ensuring that Shifra realizes her right to education. We further thank our partners namely; MEM, ETM and IDAY International, for all the support rendered to UCC.
Shifra’s family donated a cake to UCC which was later distributed among students to enjoy. However, before this moment, Shifra’s mother took the moment to address the school community, to demonstrate the good spirit and generosity of UCC in supporting the girl child to realize her lifetime dreams.
She encouraged students to continue cooperating with UCC management and all staff members in order to have in-depth and profound mentorship. She discouraged from indulging in bad behaviors which will tarnish their future dreams. She promised, as a teacher, she will always be in touch with UCC whenever she is called to talk about discipline issues.
